The good news is, nor does Cyber Vigilance
We first opened our doors in 2018 after our co-founders Sean and James realised there was a lack of support for UK businesses on their cyber security journeys.
Cyber Vigilance was born out of the technical excellence of Sean and James, who met working on global projects for tier 1 banks, and wanted to allow businesses of all sizes to have access to the same level of skills and technology that enterprises have.
Our goal was then, and is now, a dual purpose one:
To provide access to the right resource and skills to any business, regardless of size, helping companies to understand their security vulnerabilities; not just in the technology they use, but also in the policies they have in place to make sure their people understand the threats and how to modify their online actions to avoid them.
To put the right measures in place to provide ongoing protection and remediation when incidents do occur; providing a safe pair of hands in the implementation and making the most of solutions deployed and to work with best-in-breed solutions partners to deliver robust protection.
Since then, the Cyber Vigilance has expanded, with Toby joining as Chief Revenue Officer in 2022, with the aim of ensuring that all our customers receive the best level of support and experience possible.
As we continued to grow the Cyber Vigilance team, we moved into the Cyber Vigilance Stables.
We have put an enormous amount of energy into nurturing friendships to last -- building a Cyber Vigilance community through free resources and advice, The Cyber Vigilance Podcast, The Cyber Weekly Digest and our “Cyber Security Is No Joke” stand-up comedy nights.
To eliminate negatives and reinforce the positives, we promise to remove the stress, time and costs associated with keeping your business secure; now and into the future.

We’re honest in our recommendations and match the solution to the problem; which means understanding the problems first, not pushing the solutions – adding value by going deeper, wider, and further. We are constantly evaluating the cyber security market to make sure we bring the right technologies to our customers.
We enjoy what we do – outsmarting the bad guys, and enabling continuous confidence among our customers that whatever can be done – to thwart the intent of hackers and attackers – is being done.
Be honest \
We keep our promises. We’re transparent. If there’s bad news to deliver about the state of your systems, the perhaps casual behaviours of your staff, or the disarray of your existing cyber security policies and measures, we do that first. No surprises, just clarity and direction for the way forward.
As for the good news, we get there fast (repeatedly achieving faster than vendor response times). Tried and tested investigations to identify what’s needed, explain why, and then implement the recommendations – an outcome-based consultative-led approach.
